Brand Awareness

The writer's stroke quill pen for blogIt’s a mad world out there with tons of BS and misuse of the very terms that define your online journey.

Branding is one of those terms that can drive you bonkers with claims of your picture fits the bill. Huh? Brand Awareness of your face is why you are on line? What if the product is no good?

Let’s get logical to the point of making some sense here. Brand
Awareness is the extent to which a brand is recognized by
potential customers and is correctly associated with a
particular product. Not your face, unless you are the owner
then only possibly in a mutually described relationship of
Brand Recognition.

In other words, you have a product that needs promoting. You
search out your target market and get it out there. Brand
Awareness in this context, becomes a percentage of the over
all of the target market you advertised to.

An increase in the Brand Awareness is the optimal goal of
advertising in the early months of product introduction.
It is arguably better to get your product in front of as
many eyeballs as you can, even if it means giving it away
at first.

Remember, you are working here with your target market
which means only people who may have an interest in owning
your product. If you sell wonderful new cheese products,
you sure do not want to sell to a lactose intolerant market.

You need happy users ergo the offer of free to a portion
so it creates the brand recall – or people who will give
you a testimonial.  This action, in turn, creates Brand
Recognition.

Brand Recognition is how the hungry market will turn into
buyers for your product. When a friend or associate owns
the product, do you suppose you can be coaxed to purchase
on the strength of their excitement?

If the product has turned out to have value then probably
so. Brand Loyalty by your friend or associate is bound to
have a positive impression on your buying intentions.

Competition is wild and unending so each of these steps
become an important part of how you create higher Brand
Awareness that separates and lifts your product through
Brand Development above other  like products.

In business, the ultimate goal is to make profits and
increase sales. If you are in the affiliate market where
you wish to capitalize on these products then your
advertising and promotions can be either company
defined or you can be a better more successful affiliate
by understanding Brand Awareness and using it full bore.

As you can see, the only benefit of your face on product
marketing material is the relationship people have to the
product first, in order to make your actions result in sales.

IF you follow the company marketing correctly, then it may
be possible for you to benefit from increased sales through
your image relationship to the proven product.

Your Business Deserves Solid Hosting Decisions

The writer's stroke quill pen for blogAny business can be a cheap to start up or as expensive as you have the bucks to lay out and make it happen.

Also the speed of getting set up is really in your court. Or, as it may happen, dependent on your credit card balance.

I’ve started this blog opening dealing with do -re – mi or
money, which everyone seems to think comes first. So get theworry lines off your forehead and let’s take a realistic look at some of the ways you can get started today.

Cost is only a consideration if you don’t know what you are
doing. While we are at it, let’s clear up another misnomer.

There is no such thing as a stupid question is much like saying
there is no such thing as stupid people.  Both are right and
both are wrong. Depends on the circumstances. Whatever, no
one is born stupid so quit practicing.

The Bottom Line on Income Creation

The fastest way to increase business revenue, sales, build
good customer relation with new customers, and profit, is
always accomplished through marketing. It’s the one skill
that the better you get at it, the more income, profits,
and fortune you will make.

The glib hook that hauls them in …

“This product is all you need to succeed. Believe me, it will
change your life.   And it is guaranteed to work for newbies,
intermediate, and advanced marketers.”

Really?

Good marketing provides a time and a place for basics or
newbie marketing, and a time and a place to graduate into
intermediate to advanced marketing.

But who wants to start at the basic level when that hook
tells you it works for the advanced marketer as well? So
why not cut to the chase and go for the top?  Advanced
marketing is where the money is?

There you go. That thing called money again. Raring its
head to confuse and create bad business decisions. Well
over 97% of the do-not-make-its in online business
bought into that hook and went for the top.

School Daze …

Think school for a second. Kindergarten teaches you the
basics in how to work with others. Even in marketing,
most of the 97% failure rate did not pay attention to
this part.

Then you move on into grade school which is the
intermediate level where your skills get polished.
Remember, not everyone has the money to buy their way
thru this level so you learn to earn.  Plus you
either have the bucks to outsource or you take the
leap and learn.

Finally you are ready for college which means advanced
marketing skills that haul in the bucks no question
because you know what to do. IF you are lucky enough
to find and learn from good teachers.

University level is when you are ready to become a
business owner. Success depends here on history and
economics studies that you can only get on a professional
level. Forget the wild offers from never been there never
will be hustlers.

Back to Getting Started

So you want a web site. Know the domain name you wish to
choose, and are ready to sign on the dotted line. There
is a lot of work ahead but you have a starting place right
from the get go.

Your domain is a once-a-year payment but hosting is once a
month. Do you want to pay for hosting every month while you
get set up?  Get smart and cut the cost. Setting up a web
site can take anywhere from six months to a year, depending
on what you have in mind as well as fluid cash to work with.

Make this time work for you and advertise ViralHost while you
build. Done right, you have your first list in the making,
maybe several new hosting clients under you  to show how to
do the the same thing. And all because you learned the first
lesson well.

Do NOT wait! Advertise your new web site IMMEDIATELY!

NOT as an under construction, no way amateurville for you!
Your very first index.html page is your advertisement for
ViralHost hosting company you just joined.

Success requires structure that is easily duplicated. Here is
your start to understanding the theory. Put it into action and
smile at the commission checks.

When You Are All Set Up To Fail

When You  Are All Set Up To Fail

In Pygmalion, the rain in Spain fell mainly on the plains. And all you had to do was improve on your manners and you were socially acceptable. It describes best, the dynamic in which the individual lives up to expectations.

The ‘set up to fail’  syndrome is not only the exact opposite, it has become an unfortunate norm for online marketers.   The cause and effect can run on two fronts. One, the person feeling or made to feel, they do not know the work and building a failure complex on taking this for granted as so.

Thus ‘set up to fail’ becomes a condition used to describe situations in which persons put themselves where they cannot possible succeed. Either unrealistic expectations of self or their abilities, or are naive and uninformed.

Thus the negative spiral of expectations, expecting to fail, or an unwarranted fear of failure, becomes a failure neurosis that sets them up for the second front.

The second front is YOU, the sponsor, boss, mentor, guide. While you may not intentionally set out to create a failure complex, you can do so easily by creating and reinforcing a dynamic that essentially sets up perceived under performers to fail.

Ms. Tuff AZ Nales cracks that whip!

Is there an expectation you feel you failed to live up to?  Did you miss a deadline? Or perhaps feel you under performed in a necessary action?

Since I do not exclude myself from surreptitiously creating error scenarios, I will often point the finger at me first. What could I do that was different in approach that set a good standard of expectations that encourages reaching?

Here is where we all jump in with both feet and are about to land on a very sharp stake. When that feeling is set in motion, our people tend to withdraw. Some even leave without notice or explanation.

Withdrawl seems to prove your point they are under achievers or need personal help. They don’t ask – which they must own, while you take for granted, what you offer, will help them. You don’t know.  You could be driving the final nail in the coffin of them leaving.

While the sponsor, leader, guide, mentor actions are intended to boost performance and encourage the reach for better results, the ‘victim’ too often interprets the heightened attention as a lack of trust and confidence in them.

The danger here, lies in their low expectations of self thus they lose motivation  to make autonomous decisions or to take any action at all. If they feel you will only tear apart their opinion or actions then they figure they might as well let you do it yourself.

For their part, the subordinate shuts down, or leaves, either in dismay, frustration or anger.   Not a good scene all round.

Rather than make the ‘set up to fail’ syndrome a self-fulfilling prophecy, it might be better to set the bar of expectations low enough to allow a new person or regular member to follow your lead, feel encouraged to ask questions, and find themselves praised for their efforts.

When you read this, be careful. You can always find someone to fit the conditions.  Do NOT judge or put someone in that spot. That is blatantly creating the negative spiral you always need to be on the look out to prevent.

As Dale Carnegie so aptly recognized, ‘when dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion’ and that goes for you too.

Thanks for reading …

The Land of Brand For You And Me

courtesy freedigitalphotos.net Brand as it relates to you and I and our advertising today does not begin with some ‘great I am’ for the idea.

Claude Hopkins had described it as far back as the early nineteen twenties. What appears to happen is that some self-proclaimed genius will tell you they thought outside the box looking for the next trendy form of advertising that would set the world on end. In truth, what they have done is climbed right into the box and mixed up the parts.

What these new kids on the block hope is you are not old enough to remember those days and who these people were, nor smart enough to do your research and find out.

50 yrs of Advertising Techniques

Meantime, most of the advertising techniques which worked when people like Claude Hopkins, David Oglivy, Edison, Karl Marx,Rockefeller, and Ford were around, still work today.

Consumers still buy products whose advertising promises them value for money, beauty, nutrition, relief from suffering, social status, good health, instant wealth and so on.

Thus any writing I will do here on advertising, will be about what I know best or am testing. I will leave it open to you to check it out, test it and let me know if it worked for you.

Hosted Blogging

It is the best form of advertising from you to your prospective clients. It will help them get to know ‘who is this character telling me what is best for my business?’  They’ll ask that question even if they do not have a business.

Whatever you choose to get into, having a blog on a website opens far more doors for your advertising then just running an attempt at a blog on some platform that says  hosts blogs.

I use WordPress for my blog because Google loves blogs and it loves WP best. AND I host my blog on my domain hosted with ViralHost.com. Why them in particular? Because they provide WP with their hosting. It is part of their smart cPanel that comes with the account. One stop shopping with a secure history and a guaranteed future for my work.

So right from the get go, do you see the branding that I have begun
with this article?

Saying Goodbye To Yesterday Hangups

How many times have you wondered what to do next? Why are
you even online? The problem may be a mixed bag of what you
have been doing wrong. What habits you have, where you earned
them and why you persist in hanging onto them.

Perhaps the reason the young tend to move along the route to
online success so much faster and easier, is because they are
not hampered by the baggage of what you and I learned in our
working years.

Frans Fractured Marketing imgsThey take risks for the pleasure of testing their mettle. Can
they or can’t they? Do they or don’t they have the fire in
their belly
to see an idea to fruition?

WARNING! are you up to the challenge?

How do you react when something new comes up? I am a red
flag person. I look for the holes and the credibility of the
owner before the objective of the opportunity.

I know some people who jump right off the proverbial cliff
every time something new pops up. Like they are afraid they
will lose out. FEAR is a killer of opportunity. It will defeat
you faster than checking new things out and being very sure it
fits your intentions.

There is that old barb, President Lincoln adapted
from poet John Lydgate, “You can please some of the
people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of
the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.

Long held attitudes and behaviors that fit your past work or life
environment have no place in any kind of future you can dream
of for your NOW. Voluntarily or otherwise, you will soon find
they do not work well in the entrepreneurial life.

Education vs. Deep Desire

Do you have to hold a degree in arts and science or philosophy
to succeed online? Do you have to be a Corporate head hunter to
fix the lifestyle you cannot achieve in the J.O.B.?

To be an entrepreneur, you need to reject ever piece of
programming you have ever received about limited options to
working any business online. Limitations, rules, industry norms,
these are for other people still stuck in the 9-5 nowhere land
they dream of getting out of.

In order to make things happen the way you want them to, it is
necessary to become more assertive, proactive and creative in
taking that big leap into an entrepreneurial future.

Regardless of your age. Regardless of your past education and
work histories, the rule to succeed is simple. Wrap them up in
brown paper tied with the string of memories. Fasten them to a
huge rock of history and dump them in the ocean of regret.

Today, you have arrived. Today you will be whatever you choose
to be as long as your commitment is to you and realizing your
intent. Remember, your intent is your dream.

Take a deep breath and say goodbye to yesterday.

Have a great day
