There are times when the weather man is right. Doubtful those times will every really be appropriate. Nevertheless we make it through. Last night was one of those times as the night sky presented a myriad of lightning shapes, thunder rolled its appreciation and the rain came tumbling down on buildings and traffic.

Me, myself and I decided we could curse the storm or put it to good
use. Choosing the latter, we had a cool think tank on traffic issues.

Traffic Is People

We tend to forget that fact.  Just like cars don’t drive themselves, it
takes people to get them in motion. I want a traffic grid for my online
sales and conversion needs. I want LA at peak traffic time streaming
across my website. I want traffic clogging up my mail box and keeping
me in tune with good automated messages that make them happy they
stopped by.

Three Necessary Traffic Strategies

The easy part is the control part. Catch up with old friends who
originally made up the better part of all subscribers lists. People
who gave me their support when I needed it.

In the rush to make your mark, it is easy enough to become disengaged
from these people, just as it is easy for them. Life goes on and we
move on. Not necessarily in the same direction or for the same reasons.

Test #1: Survey the inactive list

This does not always work because the very subscribers you need to
reach may not be opening their mails to receive the survey. With bit
of thinking, you might improve open statistics.

Test #2 Keep in mind the session on email deliverability issues.

Because the next step is to create some engaging emails. But first you
need to get them on a list that says they want them.

Test #3 Try an email that allows subscribers to reset their preferences
or that expects them to tap a link to continue to receive updates.

Traffic Strategy #2

This one creates a love hate relationship. You love a clean responsive
list but you hate removing the traffic deadwood.

When all else fails trim the fat! The open values caused by the lack
of subscriber responses is not impressing your ISP nor it is helping
you for future sends. No matter what you try, when the response is
zero,then accept the fact, these people are clearly not interested in
your content or products. Give them fair warning about what is going
to happen. They are about to be eliminated.

Try a ‘trim the fat ‘page for company TEs. Surfers may not pay timely
attention to their mail boxes but it is highly unlikely they will miss that
page warning! Get creative! This same page can bring you in
new subscribers with a bit of thinking.

Traffic Strategy #3 It’s All About You!

Time to take a hard look at how you present content. Who are you
following? Whose style grabs you till it hurts? Makes you wish you
too could look at and take the actions that hurtle them into growth
spurts you can only dream about?

Style takes time to create. These people were not born with their
ability to reach out and touch their markets. They work hard to
develop the right touch at the right time. Two power words head
their priority list of actions – research and test! Little bites
first looking for feed back and reactions. Then research, rewrite
and test a wee bit more. Finally what has been missing falls into
place.

Nobody knows you better than you do! Set attainable goals. Make
them little steps that present results you can measure. Map out an
action plan and follow it. Remember research and test. Then you are
ready to adjust the action plan.

Desire vs. Vision The Powerful Influence On Motivation

 

The need for quick-start visionWhen people have little interest in a position or role, it’s very difficult to motivate them as their desire will be equally as weak. That is why that initial contact is so important to determine they have the needed vision.

Getting to know the individuals on your teams will aid you in being able to structure rewards that keep them motivated towards accomplishing team vision.

Are your people motivated by

  • involvement in learning opportunities
  • desire handling greater responsibility
  • or have the vision for meeting challenging projects?

Each person is different in their needs. What if everything
they tell you is prefaced by their need for creating moolah?
What if they have no vision?  How can there be the
motivation needed to accomplish goals for results if they
have no vision?

The Law of Attraction suggests our power is in the forming
of teams of like-minded individuals.Thus if one is to believe
no man is an island,’ there must be a desire to accomplish, or
there
will not be sufficient vision to complete  challenging
tasks.

Is desire a primal urge? To eat, to sleep, to feel needed or
part of the herd, to love and be loved?  Recognizing the power
of desire over the human mind to seek out, find and accomplish,
can be the difference between having a vision and the motivation
to seek results or forever becoming the never-have  victim.

Where are you NOW in the game of life and where do you want to
be? Are you aware of the short comings you present to yourself
in order to overcome whatever is holding you back from making
your dreams and desires a real-time happening?

Quite often it is our own lack of vision that gets in the role of our
desire to meet some challenge we know in our hearts we can
make happen.

When you get to know you, then you will realize the importance
of building worthy relationships with your new subscribers.
With those possible diamonds waiting for you to touch base
and share a mutual vision.

You Met Joe and Diane Those Nice People?

They are in your downline somewhere or on a list you had out there for eons, bringing you in hot prospects?  Maybe their names are different but they sure seem like nice people.

How sad it is they are not doing so well online. They asked you for help. What can you do for them? Are you doing well yourself? No doubt you have a good product and you are tightly focused on making a success of it, but will it fit these nice people?  Are you where you need to be with your business and able thus to give them the kind of advice they may be looking for?

Fundamental Business Building for Nice People

Nothing can slow down progress faster. In fact this one piece of missing info is  the  guarantee unless something is done and fast, half the startup businesses you see online will be  gone in the next five years IF they are the reasonably good ones.

Even more, will be here today and gone tomorrow.

While you do not need to know everything to get started, the core  you  bring into your business creation will soon tell if you are not learning as you go.

It makes it hard to advise nice people where to start. Or does it? If you are struggling, it is probably because you are wasting time. And time is your most important asset.

It will not matter if you buy tons of good products, do your best to dig right in and know them profoundly, and work harder than you ever have in your life, you will not make it happen without a clear, concise understanding of the fundamental business building  knowledge that can make your dreams a success.

Every business begins with a concise number of steps from the basic startup to the on-going attaining of goals that will build that business for as long as it takes to build it long lasting and strong.

Nice People or Strategical Entrepreneurs

How many times have you heard it said that when you drop the employee attitude and adopt the professional business builder mode you will change the outcome of your business efforts?

How can you tell?  The opportunity seeker even if they are nice people?
They are like the offline guy or gal who is never satisfied with their job.
They are either consistently fired or forever looking for a better opportunity. They have sand in their shoes and never stick with anything
for very long no matter how nice they are.

They are nice people wed to frustration and overwhelm, needy and want instant income yesterday. Very impatient types, they jump right into the next best thing to floating on down the pike. No time to investigate owners or legalities. The idea they will take part in a scam is the furthest thing from their mind, nor do they seem to care. They are in and out so fast, the only thing that sticks to them is their bad reputation.

So who is the strategical Entrepreneur?

Pick a number from one to ten. Now think of that number as ‘This is your life!” If the number was middle of the road, you have decisions to make to better your life. Good decisions will move you up towards the desirable ten. But bad decisions will see you slip.

We all make bad decisions. That is part of life, growing and moving forward. The strategical entrepreneur understands this. What they do is examine carefully ALL actions no matter how large or how small and rate them in respect to their online growth.

Cutting, pruning and adding only small steps to test to increase growth means they learn to strategize all actions creating time limits, actions
that are a must, old habits that have to go, and forever making sure they
are implementing what tests show work.

EVERY step has a  meaning.

Entrepreneur means income creator NOT income dreamer. They choose products carefully, making sure those products are tools everyone must have. They spend their time getting to know the values of their products, what they can do for the right target market.  Then they set up the appropriate promo materials.

Now it is time to find the target market.  Spaghetti marketing is trying to please everyone.

Filling funnel after funnel of bodies or names that have no interest in what
you are offering.

This form of action belongs to opportunity seekers. Numbers are their game and probably why they are not half as successful as they should be.

The strategical entrepreneur is investigating the many places their target market hangs out and goes after them, promoting all their work and effort to engage targeted prospects to convert into sales.

Knowing your product, having good work habits, understanding your prospect, how to feed their needs, and finally settling into ONE product
niche that provides the prospect with all they can ask for, will determine where you are heading and if you fit the criteria of a successful strategic entrepreneur.

Thank the power of positive marketing. There is always room and opportunity for you to change the status quo. All it really takes
is your focused determination to make your dream a positive reality.

Not only will you learn quickly how to help those really nice people
who ask you for help,  you will build long-term relationships that
will consistently grow your business.

I Want MY Gift! You Promised!

Across the net, via my email accounts, I watch the offers flow in, “free account” “free pdf“FREE report you cannot afford to miss” and a gift many gifts. What the hey?

So past the startled Doe eyes, common sense kicks in and you really have to smile. These guys are dumber than dirt in most cases, but they are playing follow the leader in others. Those “FREE” offers are to get you on a gazillion lists.

For the fun of it, I clicked on a couple. Never did get the ‘FREE’ offer pdf or that special gift or otherwise. Not hooked up to an auto-responder most probably  my sign up is floating way out there in outer space.

So I waited for the next offer. You know like those annoying OTO offers that say “Hey that was my best offer but okay.” and hit you again and again …? Sure enough, I am registered already so I cannot have the next offer.

Son of a gun. As If I did not expect this to happen? If you want to really test this sort of thing, create a gmail account for lists. Then go have a party.

WARNING!
You understand that thing about hang overs right? Ok, you are on your own!

Part II to Party Time.

That interesting freebie you never got does not dismiss the fact you signed up for their list. Some will even go so far as to send you a confirmation mail so you will get the link to the offer.

Hooray! A mail! “Glad to have you aboard. Thanks for signing up to my list. Hope you enjoy your free gift!” NO link to no gift. But I just signed my life away.

Sure enough EVERY day without missing a heartbeat, in comes sales offers after sales offers. These people must be running a private directory or product academy all their own they are involved in pushing so much stuff!

Nothing beats a better tune in their minds then the tinkle of coins they expect for all this crapola. Fifteen different emails all touting the next best piece of software, the best PLR, ‘man you will get rich with this one!’ all serve to tell me this is a first class opportunity seeker on the prowl.

Serves me right! I just had to go test the waters. Now my head aches and I am tired of overflowing useless mail. NEXT! Do the honorable thing UNSUBSCRIBE and make it quick!

That should do it right? NOT! You forget you tried to sign up TWICE just to see what would happen? Next sales letter I will UNSUBSCRIBE from that list as well with the statement “I WANT My Gift! YOU PROMISED!”

Sigh … Bad idea! Now the party continues. If I will just sign this link, my missing gift will be on the way.

Always figured the best way to toot your own horn
was to share what you learn. Guess I was meant to
be a teacher and missed my calling.

Another law I really appreciate for it is tossed
around like lemon on a salad is “working
hours:
Get a life – or face the consequences.”

Who wants to spend their lives doing something
they hate? While many do, it could be because
they lost the ability to feel, becoming sensitized
to comfort and confidence in what really matters
to them.

Is there a market for much of the things that
please you? There has to be because you are one
of thousands even millions, unique in some ways
and exactly the same in others.

Learn Internet Marketing

Have a look at your product or service. Get so
familiar with it you wear it like a second skin.
Feeling comfortable? Now it is time to learn
the next step.

Spend whatever time is necessary finding target
markets for your goods, utilizing Amazon reviews,
niche discussion boards, using keyword search
tools, and what may be considered, commonly
shared threads in social marketing. Learn it
all!

Can you meet face-to-face or talk to some
potential customers perhaps through  industry
expositions in your community, state or country?

In Central Ontario we have the Exhibition grounds.
The Grand old lady of fairs for children and
buildings loaded with exhibitions for the adults.
It goes year round for exhibitions. Thus there
is always something to learn attending them.

It can only be through these physical actions on
your part that you can develop the right message
for the right audience at the right time and often
for the right price to produce the results you
expect.

The Common Error In learning is…

Not just this one but the most common – “..do I have
to do this over and over for every idea I have? That
finding the target market for each product has to be
so involved?”  There is always something new to learn.

YES IF you do not take the need seriously enough to
educate yourself on the proper results of each action
you do take.  Think about the kind of people you meet,
their value to you, how they think and feel, react,
and how much is emotional vs. solid decision making.

There will be times, it will be like looking at
yourself in a mirror.

Learning is one powerful skill but so is listening.
Without practicing the right listening skills, what
you will learn will be full of holes.

Thus, will you learn, adjust and change where
necessary or hide from a truth that you might
just be a part of the problem that needs a
serious adjustment before you will readily find
the right target market?

TEST TEST TEST is one of my favorite demands of
any student of learning. Only by testing can you
prove the depth of the theory you think is correct.
But before a good test can be run comes necessary
research.

Copying the learning of others may be the highest
form of flattery in some cases, but overall, it
shows a short sightedness of knowledge or the
willingness to research for the missing pieces
that make you that unique flower in a field of
daisies.

How will your message stand up against thousands
of other messages in the same field, in the same
market? If your message does not stand out when
it comes to understanding your prospective audience,
you have a real problem.

Are you as ready as you thought you were to deliver
the right message to the right people in the right
market for your products and services in the right
way?
