Skewered Social Media Marketing Test

Are you my sponsor quill pen imgDo you ever get the feeling that some ideas, when tested are just one-shot wonders?  Getting excited over successfully proven shocking results is not necessarily a must step to repetition?  That it is no guarantee you will see it happen again?

If your original goals, like mine, were to create followers, then get the message Charlie Brown, maybe those that clicked round one were looking for the same thing. Thus your content touched a sweet spot but it did not quite meet what they are looking for.

Next TEST

When you simply pop in a new entry, no thought but to test the
veracity of your instant viewers, you get what you asked for.
They are testing you. There can only be one winner in that
scenario and it probably is NOT  you. You lost.

The Lesson in Humility Test

Thanks for the lesson in humility folks. I better walk what
I teach. It is not about you but your people in need of a
solution to a problem they are facing.

TEST Actions

Thus the first taste of success is simply pointing me to
what they have yet to find. Maybe what is needed here is
a two-point survey type of entry? I can prepare two answers,
two forms of solutions perspectives that rest on my website.

In fact, I can set up the test survey on my website as well.
Once the perspectives are done, then my next TEST entry
should follow up on what I learned from the first entry
and send them to the survey to find out which perspective
might best suit them.

Just two questions. Most people will respond to just two
questions. More makes them suspicious of your intent. So
be clear on both questions.

Surveys themselves are easy enough to create and with some
thought can  become a steady part of your daily marketing
strategies
. Can you think of a better way to get to know
your followers who might just become hot prospects or
clients based on their appreciation of your posts?

HOT Test Tip #1

Check your own mail box for steady senders of offers you
are not in the market for. When do you get the info mail
and when do you get the full-blown super offer that is
only good for the next 24 hours?

HOT Test Tip #2

Forget the spammers or full-time sell affiliates that
flood your mail daily.  What you want to look for is a
name marketer that sends you enjoyable reading. They
work within a structure that will soon produce a
strategy or business model you can learn lots from.

There we are. Follow up to the first post that shook
me up. The second set were a disaster and if you read
this article, you can soon figure out why.

Now it is time to set up the survey with two different test
solutions from two different perspectives and see where
this leads.

Why not do this test with me? Who knows, HOT Test Tip #3
might just be the results we find.

Social Media vs. My Facebook Marketing Plan

Gout drr no rbil mnkryd on surfers suckhssp-e1474850529949For the longest while, I really have not had one. Working on Facebook, both from a social stand point and from a business stand point as well, have shown me the majority of followers are family and friends within a specified circle.

Part of this I know to be my fault as I have not been a particular
social follower of too many of the people I have met online. Nice
people, do not get me wrong. Very nice in some cases, but not the
people I would have need of to build my business interests nor for
me to support theirs for that matter. Not at this stage, anyways.

Time to take Facebook Social life seriously

Our ViralHost fan page was the business side and it grew very
slowly. So slowly I began to wonder if we were a wash out or it I
was doing something wrong to cause it.

On my personal socail timeline, the following was a miserly eight, if I
settled according to Facebook stats. Kind of off the wall when some of
my posts were in the teens and some of my followers were consistent
in responses that far outnumbered Facebook stats.

Rather than fight city hall I looked for new ways to position myself
and ViralHost. I found one clue in a strategic email from Sandi
Krakowski, talked to my people about it and got as much response
as road kill.

Another dead end? Not on your Facebook LIKES for the next 100 years! I
did what Sandi recommended – a simple post and post often to see
who was following you – the silent social majority – lurkers so named
by some, but for the serious marketer, the hissing warm market we
all look for.

NINETY-ONE people read that post! Even when the shock abided,
there was no way I could convince myself that eight and
ninety-one correlated in FB stats. There was even a share! The
other half of that test is that it attracted the attention of social
marketers, not family, not friends but members who might just be
part of the target market I am looking for.

Is there another post to follow that one? You bet there is! ONE
In notes and one on my regular timeline – each designed to see how
they can or will attract.

Who Is My Social Target Market?

Two things I have learned in my marketing experiences, is that
people like certain things and people also live with certain fears.

One of those fears is to speak up, leave a name and have a worthy
comment to post. People will do anything to avoid pain.

That is one reason there can be 91 who see your post. What they
like is the 64thousand dollar question because it is so easy for
both you and them to get mixed up in social wants and needs.

The conundrum here is that people may have a need but unless
they want it bad enough will not buy from you unless you have
given them the opportunity to get to know, like and trust you
above thousands of emotional hype masters.

More than that, you need to give them an exquisite, unique reason
set far above the offers of the same hype masters who can sell ice
to Eskimos. Will you give them that exquisite feeling of pure
pleasure dealing with you?

Getting to know you, is value content backed by a good reputation
that how you speak and what you offer them is valuable to them.
Become socially proficient.

NO SELL! Whatever your marketing plan, your strategy has to be
one of education in this phase.

Demographics are another bugaboo a lot of marketers do not
understand. For some, they choose countries; for others they mix
and match age and sex.

It might do you best to define your own interests, prioritize them
and make sure your interests fit your opportunity. Your likes and
dislikes, your emotional feelings of pain and pleasure are your
start for defining your social target market.

As you can see, consumer behavior is is driven in simple terms. If
you understand their pain, then you are in a better position to
provide a solution to that pain.

Thus stage one of my FB marketing plan is to use Facebook as the
marketing tool essential in helping me get to know more about the
social members who might be my target market. For finding out their
problems, their fears, and how I might best help them fine a good
working solution.

Now I have a direction for the posting contents that should provide
the feedback and product interest I will need to determine the
interests of and ability to build good relationships with a sound
target market.

If you are looking at social media for its marketing profitability,
then best you read and take a few hints on how you can approach
Facebook with greater intent by giving better value.

Next issue .. will do the next phase and results.

FranFractures the Old And Suggests The NEW Goals

Are you my sponsor quill pen imgOff with their heads!” cries the Queen and the Mad Hatter runs on with his cry – “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date! ” And no one gets very far no matter the cry!

Losing ones head is the easy part when online marketing. Being the end of 2013, that tendency will reign until the message is clear. Out with the old goals and in with the NEW habits and goals and updated business plans for 2014!

Having a plan of action  tends to focus on the dreams of last year that most never worked so they never happened. Is it wise to bring them into 2014? Hardly! If those goals had any legs then wouldn’t you have worked your hiney off to make it happen?

Most goals are long term because that is what is taught you must create. The three months and six months seldom are reached because the focus is on one year, two years and five.

Goals What a waste of your good time!

Yes you need a long term endeavor to reach for. But you also need short term goals to show you are on track to reach that endeavor.

What is your long term goal? Or better yet, what is your USP – Unique Selling Positions [Proposition]?  Mine here, in this blog is to FRACTURE every old bit of teaching that is holding you back because you just will not let go!

So what if Humperdinck Diddlysquat made his fortune doing some timely effort that paid off? This is NOT the same time for you! The conditions have totally changed.  Some of these names were big time in their time but  you seldom hear from them now.

The ones you do hear from are struggling with exactly what you are struggling to do. Find or update a good product that fits the time and brings their following back on track to buy from them.

You think they are doing this with no plan on the board? With no long term short term goals that will tell they they have a new success or failure on their hands?

‘Hello my friend …’

Got one of those emails? They will just take two minutes of  your time. You can help them big time by answering just two questions.

They might even send you a gift for doing so.

In case you missed the point, it is called a survey. All it takes are the right TWO questions to find out what your market wants to buy so you do not set yourself up to miss the WIIFM your list is looking for.

Short Term Goals are designed to bring you back into the fold. To garner sales off you remembering who they are and having bought from them  before.   If you do recall then the fact they are updating old hat could mean you are overlooking the fact you already have the product or perhaps have never used it, so will often enthuse you to pay for it again.

The survey or surveys will have shown you the need. The gift or bonus also came out of the surveys.

Long Term Goals are more in line with the product, packaging,
pricing and production based on the early returns from the short term goal testing. It’s online shelf life has to be decided at this critical point in time.

The bottom line for them, is the same bottom line for you. As a company must ensure they have a plan to be profitable, so must you. Because if the  resources invested in the company, outweigh the the profits, then the company cannot exist.

Decision Making  is constant. Having an idea, turning it into a product or service, and throwing it out there hoping friends and business associates will support you is paramount to failure.

How are you presenting what you have to offer in a way that is different from your competition? If the object of the game is win customers then you better keep your head out of the sand and acknowledge them. Then find a way to set yourself and your product apart from the herd.

What worked 10 yrs ago is hardly relevant to customer needs today.

Everyone still wants to make money and live the high lifestyle without lifting a finger except to work the cash machines, but it ain’t gonna happen for these people so move on – NEXT!

The only people who make sales, win customers and are in profit are those that study the game, acknowledge someone out there is doing what you want to do and get with it!

Now is the time for you to be you, weird Harold approach and all.

That makes half the unique style work. The other is how you will present your offer that matches and then outdoes what the competition is offering.

You do like to comparison shop, don’t you?  So you your prospective customers.

Be up front in their face and transparent about what you offer and why they need to do business with you. Bonuses and guarantees along with a reasonable price will win your day.

Be careful now as people are not buying content or even great information, they are buying results. Results you can show them how to get. Any thing less and they will move on to the next offer.

The Ritualistic Practice of Habits

Happy New Year 2014 Here it is another New Year – 2014 to be exact. If you did not expect to be here, then that is one major plus habit in your favor.

Instead of making New Years Resolutions you know you are not going to keep, why not consider the NEW goals and habits to help make them work, approach instead?

Here are a few things on my must do calendar of NEW habits and
healthy approaches.

The news is always about health and statistics that sort of make you feel like waking up in the morning is a shocking blessing.

One Good Heart Smart Habit

Ritual #1

Drink eight ounces of water before you retire. No you won’t get up any more often than normal. Then drink 16 ounces of water the very first thing you wake up EVERY morning. According to the Health smart people, that water wakens up your vital organs. A must if you do not plan on dropping dead in your tracks.

Ritual #2 Again Health Oriented.

Cancer, Heart, Stroke potential, all seem to be reduced by watching the alkaline vs. acidity of foods you eat. Cut the useless carbs. That means the eating out at all your favorite ‘fat’ restaurants. It does not mean you cannot have a cheat treat now and then, just stop making it a habit that is killing you.

Think green and you are on the way to better alkaline balance. If you are diabetic, you will appreciate this ritual.

Ritual #3 All About You

How about an exercise routine? The kind of work out that lets you know you do have muscles and while they might scream a wee bit at first, you will notice you walk farther and breathe easier for having done them?

I had to laugh at my grand daughter. She chose a gym work out over an evening with friends enjoying a Dim Sum supper evening. I have to say, been to one – it was marvelous! Not so sure I would have the strength to choose a workout over an invitation to one though.

Ritual #4

This one should become more of a new healthy habit than working yourself silly. ONLY work 50 minutes of every hour. Thus only plan on working a maximum of THREE hours daily on the marketing end of your business.

The smart CEO of most businesses recognize the need to refresh the brain so they use that 10 minutes of every hour to cat nap. Just close your eyes and let the world worries disappear. They say it is like have have a two-hour solid sleep. When the brain is not working overtime on your thinking practices, it looks after you by refreshing itself. Dump the snapped synapse, be a productive you.

It is much easier to create a healthy approach to business building and the focus you will need to be both creative and productive. A tired mind makes mistakes and causes a lot of rework.

So next time you hear someone say their business approach sucks, you might have a clue as to why. Send them here to read this article or give them a much deserved lecture on building their health, habits and creative thinking. All these things mean changing old habits for new.

None of them are hard to do. Don’t be surprised if you like the habits yourself as you test the veracity of each one. You might even live to enjoy the results.
